Juliane Biasi Hendel

Juliane Biasi Hendel

Documentarist and artist of contrasts, uncomfortable themes, and undisclosed truths. She directs her work towards social issues about the deviance and discrimination of differences considering the human being in its container-body in relation to the environment and constant change. Juliane combines art as an instrument of ethical commitment and travel as an instrument of creative and personal research. She has made documentaries for television and her film Il Colore dell’Erba, conceived for cinema, has been distributed in movie theaters.

Paolo Bravi

Paolo Bravi

Born in Rome, but now lives on the shores of a lake. He has been working as a director of photography for films and documentaries since the 90s. Among the films, "The Protagonists" by Luca Guadagnino and "Tartarughe sul Dorso", by Stefano Pasetto, he has captured images in Africa, India, Sardinia and just around the corner. He loves being in nature and team work. Teaches cinematographic photography in a couple of academies in Rome. He deals with Zen and sometimes hugs trees.

Marina Cappabianca

Marina Cappabianca

A literature and foreign language major, Marina brings to her work an extensive travel and communications experience. Since 1987 she has been working on the production of documentaries on wildlife, science, history and current affairs worldwide, in the capacities of producer, author and director. She coordinated a large number of coproductions with major international broadcasters. Her love for nature makes her a passionate defender of our Planet and a voice for the many issues affecting its balance.

Pippo Cappellano

Pippo Cappellano

Journalist, author and film director, Pippo began his career as an underwater photographer in the sixties, soon becoming one of Italy’s most credited underwater filmmaker. He specializes in the study of underwater life and in making documentaries on marine biology. Internationally recognized, he was awarded the Golden Trident by the International Academy of Underwater Sciences and Techniques in 1983 for the high quality and scientific value of his films. Helicopter and airplane pilot, in 1980 he crossed the Atlantic Ocean on board his sloop Alyan.

Paolo Colangeli

For 30 years he has been shooting documentaries, generally focused on cultural and social issues, because it is wonderful to tell stories with images. Over the years he has specialized in stories and characters related to mafia conflicts. For him the charm of documentary work is the need to move, to go and meet other people, and to be able to get new stories.

Lorenzo Hendel

Lorenzo Hendel

Documentary and film director, was for seven years chief editor of the broadcast Doc3. He was specifically committed in selecting the documentaries, following the authors in their production. He was a member in the juries of the most important international festivals dedicated to documentaries (IDFA in Amsterdam, Hot Docs in Toronto, Mipcon in Cannes, and many others). For the publisher Dino Audino he wrote the book "Dramaturgy of documentary cinema". Since 2017 he teaches "Documentary Cinema" at the Academy of Fine Arts in Sassari.

As a child he dreamed of making documentaries for National Geographic. It wasn't easy but that dream came true. Now he would like to involve young people to undertake the most beautiful job in the world. He started with nature documentaries, but over the years he has understood that the most interesting animal is man. His latest work, Boez, a docu-series for RAI Tre, tells the thousand kilometers on foot of six young inmates looking for a new life.

Milagros Merino

Milagros Merino

A Peruvian living in Italy. She studied law but has always been involved in social development projects as manager and responsible for various organizations in Peru, working on intercultural issues, social rights, and in the education sector. Two years ago she moved to Rome and started a new adventure: working in the cultural sector as head of projects and communications for Cinema Palma.

Francesco Palma

Francesco Palma

He studied International Relations at La Sapienza University in Rome. After spending some years in Latin America working for different NGO’S, in 2018 Francesco returned to Italy to work at Cinema Palma, where he represents the fourth generation of exhibitors. He is responsible for film programming and for the development of new ideas and projects: he believes in an open and multifunctional cinema. A cinema with a communitarian approach that could transform into a hub where different stories and experiences meet.

Chiara Fabbri

Chiara Fabbri

Artist, illustrator, and graphic designer. Until now, her work has focused on children's books. Living in South America in the last year she has worked as a volunteer with people in precarious social conditions, using art as an educational instrument of communication. She loves nature and defends the environment. Her love for children pushes her towards a continuous research to connect art with social themes.

Daniele Blundo

Daniele Blundo

Nato a Civita Castellana nel 1980. Diplomato allo IED nel 2003 in Illustrazione e Grafica Editoriale. Lavora dal 2004 come Illustratore nel campo della formazione multimediale. La passione per il fumetto si sviluppa dopo il corso di Fumetto Americano alla Scuola Romana dei Fumetti nel 2016. Lavora attualmente come illustratore e comunicatore visivo freelance.
